The Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Louisville has a long history of excellence, placing keen emphasis on education. We continue to be forerunners in cardiac assist devices and clinical excellence.
Our research program, housed in the new Cardiovascular Innovation Institute, is a collaborative endeavor of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, the University of Louisville Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Jewish Hospital and St. Mary’s Healthcare, and Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Working in state-of-the-art facilities and using some of the world’s most sophisticated technology has enabled our cardiothoracic surgeons to be leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. UCSA physicians continue to define the leading edge in cardiovascular care through their role as consulting physicians, determining next steps in cardiovascular surgery.
